1. What is Hable Construction?
We are a textile design company.  We make bags, home accessories, holiday items, gardening accessories, and other fun and interesting things with our fabrics.

2.  How do you pronounce “Hable”?
Like table, but with an “H”.

3.  Where did the name “Hable Construction” come from?
We named our company after our great grandfather’s road construction business.  We aim to construct quality, long lasting, and utilitarian products, much like the roads he built!

4. I saw something in a magazine a few months ago that is not on your website.  How can I order it?
There is a chance that the item is no longer available.  With so much changing, we try to keep our website as the central source for what we’re making and how you can find it.  So if the item you desire is still available, you will most likely see it on our website.

5. How can I buy fabric?
We sell our yardage to the trade through showrooms around the country, and direct to you if you are not located in a territory covered by a showroom.  Click here to see areas of representation. 6. What is the best way to care for my hable product?
For hand-printed canvas bags
SCOTCH-GARD™ while new,
DRY CLEAN when dirty.
print will fade with use.

For hand-printed fabric pillows
DRY CLEAN ONLY
Darker colors should not be spot-cleaned due to sensitivity of some pigment dyes.

7. How can I get a catalog?
At this time we do not have a retail or mail order catalog.  If you want to buy an item, our website is your best companion. We eventually hope to offer a mail order catalog in the future.

8.  Where are your products made?
“Crafting with a conscience” is very important to us! Our printed and woven collections comprising of tote bags, pillows, garden accessories, and desktop items are made in the United States. 

9. Can pillows be custom made in specific colors or sizes?
We offer a variety of standard pillow shapes and sizes for accent and decoration.  We just added a new area on our site where you can order custom sized pillows in many of our fabrics... click here to see!

10. Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes! For a small fee per item, we'll pretty up your gift with the Hable aesthetic. Due to the wide range of products in our line, we cannot guarantee one particular style of presentation. We do wrap with care and ensure that we look as good on the outside as we do on the inside! (See examples of all other gift wrapping by clicking here.)

11. I am interested in a job or internship at Hable Construction. Who should I contact?
Please send an email to press@hableconstruction.com . We offer plenty of hands-on experience with ever-changing tasks involving design production, publicity, small company operations, administrative duties, and an overall behind-the-scenes look of how our designs are developed into a finished product. Software experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus. Internships are unpaid and the duration is flexible. Interns will be working out of our Brooklyn studio located in the Park Slope/Gowanus neighborhood. Previous interns have gone on to work for Jonathan Adler, John Robshaw, national shelter magazines, and catalogue-giant Garnet Hill.
