Hable Construction’s first retail store opened in May of 2002 in New York City’s growing boutique neighborhood, Nolita. A home furnisher’s haven, loyal customers and interested newcomers visited the shop to experience the company’s unique aesthetic . An appreciation of the old, well-loved, and hard-to- find inspired the owners to stock the shop with treasures they coveted. Collectibles brought back from the owner’s stomping grounds in the Texan countryside sat alongside Hable bags, pillows, and storage accessories.
A second retail location, Hable West, opened in the fall of 2005 . Amidst ivy-covered buildings on a quaint stretch in the West Village, the charming, 400-square-foot storefront houses the Hable line, as well as one-of-a-kind antiques and handmade wares from places far and wide.
Fall 2005 also saw the launch of the new and improved e-commerce website, hableconstruction.com. With expanded capabilities and the full Hable line available worldwide, the site illustrates fully the company’s commitment to beautiful, sensible, and functional design.
Coinciding with the start of renovations in its building, the original Nolita shop closed in the spring of 2006. Taking cue from the Eastside location, Perry Street underwent a makeover in April 2006.
Spruced and ready for spring, the Westside store introduces a new season of Hable products, inspiring art work, and handmade goodies by friends. |
